Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy A56, capable of handling 45W wired charging, four years after initially adopting this speed. Other innovations include the Exynos 1580 chip and an improved 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with reduced bezels on all four sides.
An elegant and modern design
The phone is also thinner than the previous model, measuring 7.4 mm in thickness and featuring a revised camera block; no prominent lenses are present.

Striking performance
This is the first device to be equipped with the Exynos 1580 chipset, although Samsung introduced this SoC in October of the previous year. The 1580 is a significant improvement over its predecessor, offering the Galaxy A56 a clear performance advantage compared to the A55. We have here a 2.9 GHz processor, an AMD-based GPU with two graphics processing units, as well as a neural processing unit with a capacity of 14.7 TOPS, which suggests a 37% performance increase over the previous year. It turns out that the rumors about 12 GB of RAM were unfounded, and we actually only have 8 GB here.
The screen design has also been revamped, as it now features a brightness of 1200 nits HBM and 1900 nits at its peak brightness level. It maintains Full HD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Regarding its robustness, the Galaxy A56 is also equipped with Victus+ on the back and an aluminum frame.

Camera: capturing everyday beauty
The cameras remain unchanged: on the back, there is a 50 MP f/1.8 main sensor, a 12 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5 MP f/2.4 macro lens, while on the front, a 12 MP f/2.2 selfie camera is integrated. What has changed is the algorithm, which is now driven by artificial intelligence.
The Galaxy A56 features contextual image enhancement, improved night photos and videos thanks to a noise-reduced mode, as well as faster continuous shooting capability. The seamless switching between the main and ultra-wide cameras has also seen its speed double, and now the change takes less than 430 ms.

Consumers will be pleased to learn that Samsung is launching the Galaxy A56 with the promise of six years of security updates and six operating system updates. The phone will launch with Android 15 and One UI 7.0, which brings a redesigned user interface and more customization options.

The phone also features Circle to Search, which allows users to search anything on their screen with a single gesture instantly.

All-day battery life and endurance
This is the first time the Galaxy A series benefits from 45W wired charging, which was previously reserved only for certain Galaxy S flagships.
Samsung calls it Super Fast Charge 2.0, and it should fill 65% of the 5,000 mAh cell in 30 minutes, while 0 to 100% should take 68 minutes.
